The Boilermakers are coming off consecutive bowl appearances for the first time since 2004 heading into 2019. Jeff Brohm’s first two seasons have been largely viewed as a success considering what the program was when he took over as head coach in 2017.

Brohm was rumored to be making his return home to become the head coach at Louisville last November, but eventually decided to stay with what he had started in West Lafayette.

2018 saw the Boilers start 0-3 before winning four straight games including a monumental upset at home over then #2 Ohio State. Freshmen Rondale Moore was Brohm’s prized recruit, and he burst onto the scene in 2018 leading the country in catches (112) for 1,128 yards, and 12 touchdowns. He was voted unanimously first team All-America.
