The Indianapolis Colts will be without a veteran presence on the offensive line for at least 4 weeks.
On Tuesday the team announced that they had placed center Ryan Kelly on injured reserve. That will knock him out of the lineup for the next 4 games; he will be eligible to return following the team’s bye week against the Denver Broncos.
In Kelly’s place the Colts will lean on rookie Tanor Bortolini, who has already started two games in Kelly’s stead this season. Bortolini, for his part, made the most of that opportunity, leading some to believe that he is the Colts center of the future with Kelly in the last year of his deal.
During the Tuesday edition of The Ride With JMV, John spoke to Greg Rakestraw from the Colts Fifth Quarter Huddle, and they talked about Kelly going to IR and what that could mean for his future in Indy.
