[West Lafayette, IN]- Purdue’s second game of the 2024-25 season did not have the same magic as the first.

The Boilermakers welcome the eighteenth ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish to Ross-Aide Stadium Saturday.

Early on, the Boilermakers kept the game within fourteen but gave up twenty-eight unanswered points in the second quarter to put Notre Dame ahead 42-0. In the second half, the Boilermaker defense allowed twenty-four points between quarters three and four. Purdue’s one and only touchdown would come in the third quarter on a five-yard touchdown catch by De’Nylon Morrisette from Hudson Card. That score capped off a six play, seventy-five-yard drive by Purdue.

Hudson Card finished the day going eleven for twenty-four through the air for 124 yards. Card’s one touchdown was matched with two interceptions, including a pick six by Notre Dame’s Boubacar Traore. He was sacked four times in the loss.

Reggie Love led the rushing attack for Purdue, gaining 61 yards on ten carries.
