INDIANAPOLIS–The Indianapolis Colts will try to do something on Saturday night that they have not done in 12 years…beat the New England Patriots.

The last time they were victorious was in 2009. The Colts won that game 35-34. Since then, the Patriots have won eight straight in the series.

Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is hoping to get his first win against the Patriots, but he knows it won’t be easy.

“They’re fundamentally sound. They get in their scheme. They do everything their coach asks them to do,” said Hilton.

New England’s Head Coach is Bill Belichick is the NFL’s longest-tenured active head coach, as well as the first all-time in playoff coaching wins and third in regular-season coaching wins in the NFL with 289. He is one of only three head coaches who have won six NFL titles.

“Expect the unexpected. Whatever you do well, he’s going to take it away. So if you’re right-handed, be ready to use your left hand. We just have to be ready for anything when it comes to that defense,” said Hilton.

Belichick is 16-6 against the Colts. Colts Head Coach Frank Reich said the team has been locked in and working hard in practice all week.

“There was some good energy out there. This game comes down to execution. Hype doesn’t win the game. We all understand how important these games are in December,” said Reich.

The Colts are 7-6. The Patriots have the best record in the AFC at 9-4. If the Colts win this game, they will move into the 5 seed in the AFC. The top 7 seeds make the playoffs.

The Colts started the season 1-4, but have won six of their last 8 games. The Patriots started the season 1-3, but they have won seven games in a row.

Kickoff is at 8:15 pm Saturday.  You can hear the game on 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan as well 93.1 WIBC HD-2.
