Zak Keefer joins the show to give a recap of what he has seen so far from Colts’ training camp. Zak goes into his thoughts on Clayton Geathers and how he has overcome injury to be where he is now. Jeff and Big Joe also ask Zak about the Colts’ secondary and whether or not they are right to think it is still a bit of a question mark for this Colts’ team.

“You’ve been keeping an eye on Clayton Geathers. What have you been able to learn from what you’re looking at?”

“So this is a guy I’m probably a little bit higher on than most. Early in his career I really thought this was a guy that was going to climb into the Pro Bowl conversation. He had this one play against the Titans a couple of years ago where it was fourth and two, and he stuffed DeMarco Murray and almost ended his career because there was a neck injury that lingered. His career hasn’t really been the same since. He fought through a lot of knee pain last year just to get to the field. I got a lot of interesting stuff from his teammates on just how much pain he was playing through. He’s healthy this year and that is a big change. The change being in the secondary. They call him the godfather back there.”

“The secondary is going to be a focus for a lot of people this year because there’s things that could be expected but it is still kind of a question mark is it not?”

“The biggest question mark is how they are going to do against the very cream of the crop quarterback. They hadn’t seen a lot last year. When they did, Brady put up thirty eight on them in New England and Mahomes did whatever he wanted in the playoff game against them. That’s going to be the question. You see rivers in week one. You see Matt Ryan early. You see Mahomes early. You see Drew Brees in December. That’s the biggest question but there is no doubt, two weeks into training camp, who has won this camp so far. It’s the defense.”
