Purdue’s History In The Sweet Sixteen

The Purdue Boilermakers are coming back to Indy, where they’ll face former IU coach Kelvin Sampson and the top-seeded Houston Cougars Friday night at Lucas Oil Stadium. 

This will be Purdue’s 15th overall Sweet Sixteen appearance, and their 8th under head coach Matt Painter. 6 of those 8 appearances have come in the last 8 years, including last year’s team that went to the championship game. Of those previous 14 appearances, the Boilermakers have emerged victorious 6 times.
