HOUSTON-The Indianapolis Colts tied the Houston Texans on Sunday 20-20. That marks the ninth straight season that the Colts have failed to win a regular season opener.
That is the longest active streak in the NFL and tied for second-longest in league history.
After trailing 20-3, the Colts nearly rallied to win. They got a two-yard touchdown run from Jonathan Taylor and a 15-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Michael Pittman to tie the game up.
In overtime, however, Colts kicker Rodrigo Blankenship missed a 42 yard field goal that would’ve given them the win.
The Colts play Jacksonville on the road next week.
