The team has proven year after year that they are very competitive on all types of circuits.”

This will be Sato’s fourth different team he’ll have driven for in his IndyCar career. he started with KV Racing Technology in 2010 and has spent time with Rahal-Letterman-Lanigan Racing, and Andretti Autosport in the years that followed.

Sato has taken the checkered flag five times in his 11 years in IndyCar, two of those wins coming in the Indianapolis 500.

“I am excited to have Takuma join the Dale Coyne Racing with RWR Family for 2022,” said team co-owner Rick Ware. “Takuma’s experience within motorsports is extensive, not just in the United States, but around the world.”
