The Pacers did something in Game 3 they have rarely done this postseason. took their foot off the gas. They allowed the New York Knicks to rebound from a 20-point deficit and pull out the Game 3 win. Tonight’s Game 4 is critical for both teams. The Pacers don’t want to lose home-court advantage, and the Knicks don’t want to head back to Madison Square Garden down 3-1. Rick Carlisle knows the importance of tonight’s Game 4 for both teams. He also discussed what he didn’t like about the team’s performance in Game 3.

“The third quarter, we lost by three points. That’s not the end of the world. The fourth, we lost 36-20. We had a lot of breakdowns defensively. Before you know it, it was a one possession game. At that point, it’s anybody’s game.” – Rick Carlisle on what went wrong in Game 3’s second half

When it comes to Aaaron Nesmith, who left Game 3 late with a right ankle sprain, his status for tonight’s game remains murky.

“He was still quite sore yesterday. He’s a game-time decision.” – Rick Carlisle on Aaron Nemsith’s status tonight
