FOXBORO, Mass — The Colts edged the Patriots 25-24 Sunday, keeping their playoff hopes alive with a late-game gamble. Anthony Richardson hit Alec Pierce for a 3-yard touchdown with 12 seconds left, then ran in the two-point conversion to seal the win.

A pass-interference penalty set up the Colts’ winning drive, while New England’s Joey Slye missed a 68-yard field goal as time expired. Richardson finished with 109 yards passing, two touchdowns, and an interception, moving Indianapolis to 6-7.

Jonathan Taylor ran for 96 yards on 25 carries, passing Marshall Faulk for third on the Colts’ all-time rushing list. Matt Gay’s 25-yard field goal earlier in the third gave Indy a brief lead at 17-16.

The win is Indianapolis’ first in New England since Peyton Manning topped Tom Brady in 2006. The Patriots (3-10) have now lost four of five. After a bye, the Colts face Denver on Dec. 15.
