Charlie Woods To Play In Third Round At Junior PGA Championship Today In West Lafayette

Charlie Woods, the 16-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, is playing at the 49th Junior PGA Championship held at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana.

After a challenging first round, Woods stormed back in Round 2 with an impressive 6-under 66, bringing his total to 7-under and placing him tied for fifth on the leaderboard.

Playing on the Kampen-Cosler Course, a Pete Dye design known for its tight fairways, Woods showcased his poise and skill.

His round included nine birdies, with highlights such as a 25-foot birdie putt on the third hole and a remarkable par save on the ninth after a wayward tee shot.

Reflecting on his performance, Woods said, “The putter finally woke up today. It felt really good in my hands, and I was able to roll a few in after some solid iron shots.”

Charlie Woods stands at 7-under for the tournament, good for T5 overall.

He will tee off at 1:53 p.m. CT Thursday on No. 1 at Purdue University’s Ackerman Allen Course in West Lafayette, Indiana.

He is paired with Indiana’s Sam Carraher and California’s Ronin Banerjee for the third round.
