Bubba Wallace Reveals Michael Jordan’s Post-Race Message After Brickyard 400 Win

Bubba Wallace made history at the 2025 Brickyard 400, snapping a 100-race winless streak and becoming the first Black driver to win at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The victory was a monumental moment for Wallace and his team, 23XI Racing, co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Although Jordan wasn’t present at the race, he quickly reached out to Wallace with a congratulatory phone call.

Wallace shared Jordan’s heartfelt message during a post-race interview, saying:

“He was just so proud. I said I wish you were here for it, and he said he’s going to have a drink or two for me tonight. So we’ll be celebrating together in spirit.”

Wallace’s win came after a dramatic race that included two overtime restarts, where he held off defending champion Kyle Larson to secure the victory.

The triumph not only solidified Wallace’s place in the NASCAR playoffs but also marked a significant milestone for 23XI Racing.

Reflecting on the achievement, Wallace praised his team and acknowledged the challenges they’ve overcome.

“To win here at the Brickyard, knowing how big this race is, and to set all the noise aside is a testament to these people here on this 23 team,” he said.

The win was a defining moment in Wallace’s career, further cementing his legacy in NASCAR and showcasing the impact of his partnership with Jordan.
