Terrell Davis is one of the most decorated NFL running backs of all time. In just seven NFL seasons, Davis became the all-time leading rusher for the Denver Broncos and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. Since retiring from football, he has shifted his focus to a new business: CBD performance drinks. Davis joins The Dan Dakich Show to discuss his playing career as well as his latest endeavor into CBD products with “DEFY Performance Drink” and partnership with Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and James Hinchcliffe.

On his new DEFY drink:

“I’m pretty excited about it. It is based off science and based off purpose. It has electrolytes in there, it has coconut water, B vitamins, and it also has performance CBD. Here is the kicker, with zero THC in it. That is scientifically proven. We have a process that extracted it from the hemp plant. Really, these drinks are designed for anybody.”

On selling the DEFY in Indiana:

“We are currently working with a couple distributors thoughout the United States. So yes, you can expect to see this on shelves. But with the first launch, we’re kind of just an online presence. You have to check with your state and see if we can sell the product there. Other states have different variations on what they will allow.”

On his first time at the IMS:

“I have never been here, this is my first time and I will tell you — I am blown away already. I have never see that many bleachers and grandstands that long. This is on the bucket list and I get to scratch it off in about a week.”
