INDIANAPOLIS–The Indiana Fever (12-10) outscored the Connecticut Sun (3-19) 23-17 in the fourth quarter to go on to win 85-77 Tuesday night.

Indiana would lead by as many as 9 in the game, but they only led by two halftime and at the end of the third quarter. They held the Sun to 36% shooting from the field and they only made 5 of their 25 three-point attempts (20%). Indiana shot 49% from the field.

Five different Fever players scored in double figures and they were led by Kelsey Mitchell with 20 points. Natasha Howard finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds while Caitlin Clark scored 14 points to go along with her eight rebounds and seven assists. Both Sophie Cunningham an Aliyah Boston had 11 points for Indiana.

Clark appeared to be in pain and grabbing her groin late in the fourth quarter.

“Just felt a little something in her groin so we’ll get it evaluated and see what happens from there,” said Fever Head Coach Stephanie White.

For Connecticut, they were led in scoring by Tina Charles. She had 21 points and 11 rebounds.

The Fever have another road game Wednesday night against the 14-6 New York Liberty. Tipoff is at 7:30 pm on 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan.
