WNBA All-Star Game 2025: Starters, Reserves, and Selection Process
The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game is set to take place on July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Here’s a breakdown of the starters, reserves, and how the players will be divided into two teams.
Starters
The All-Star starters were determined through a voting process that included 50% fan votes, 25% player votes, and 25% media votes.
The top 10 vote-getters—four guards and six frontcourt players—earned starting spots.
The two players with the most votes, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, were named team captains.
Clark led the voting with over 1.29 million fan votes, while Collier followed with 1.17 million.
Reserves
The league’s 13 head coaches selected the 12 reserves, voting for three guards, five frontcourt players, and four players at either position.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
This year’s reserves include first-time All-Stars like rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen of the Washington Mystics, as well as Kayla Thornton of the Golden State Valkyries and Gabby Williams of the Seattle Storm.
