Hoosiers Fight Hard, But Fall Short to the Oregon Ducks 73-64

EUGENE, OR.–In a men’s college basketball game that had 10 ties and 10 lead changes, it was the Oregon Ducks who pulled away late to knock off the Indiana Hoosiers at Matthew Knight Arena Tuesday night 73-64.
Indiana’s Trey Galloway knocked down a three-point shot to give Indiana a 64-63 lead with 1:58 left to play. They wouldn’t score after that.
Oregon responded with a 30-foot shot by Jackson Shelstad to put the Ducks on top 66-64. The following seven points Oregon scored all came at the free throw line.
Indiana was outrebounded by Oregon 43-36. The Ducks also had 23 second chance points while Indiana had 13.
Shelstad led Oregon with 17 points. Indiana was led in scoring by Trey Galloway with 16 points.
Indiana drops to 18-12 with the loss and they are 9-10 in the Big Ten. Oregon is 22-8 and 11-8 in the Big Ten. This is Oregon’s 6th straight win.
