Malik Reneau Powers Hoosiers To Upset of #11 Michigan State

EAST LANSING, MI.–The Indiana Hoosier men’s basketball team ended a five-game losing streak by knocking off the 11th ranked Michigan State Spartans 71-67 at the Breslin Center Tuesday night.
The Hoosiers overcame a 12-point deficit and used a 2-3 zone defense to force Michigan State to make only four of their 23 three-point attempts.
Indiana’s Malik Reneau led all scorers with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Oumar Ballo had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Hoosiers. The other double figure scorers for Indiana were Luke Goode (10) and Myles Rice (10).
Jaden Akins led Michigan State with 14 points.
Indiana had 8 steals while Michigan State only had 2. The Hoosiers shot 48% for the game and held Michigan State to 38% shooting.
Indiana improves to 15-10 overall and 6-8 in the Big Ten. Michigan State falls to 19-5 on the year and 10-3 in the Big Ten.
