BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team led by as many as 28 points in their 97-71 triumph over the Sam Houston Bearkats Tuesday night at Assembly Hall.

For Indiana, Luke Goode came off the bench to score a career high 18 points and hit five of seven three-point shots.

Goode was part of an Indiana bench that outscored the Bearkats bench 36-10.

Indiana led by 17 at halftime. Sam Houston cut it to 9 at one point on the second half, but Indiana pulled away. A big reason for that was Myles Rice leading the way with 19 points. Malik Reneau finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Mackenzie Mgbako scored 13 points.

Lamar Wilkerson finished with 18 to lead the Bearkats.

Indiana improves to 6-2 on the year. Sam Houston drops to 4-5.

The next game for the Hoosiers is Friday night at 7 pm against the Miami Ohio Redhawks. Pregame coverage begins at 6 on 93.1 WIBC.
