Getting prepared for the Indiana v. Kentucky all-star game, McDonald’s all-american and Indiana Mr. Basketball Trayce Jackson-Davis joins the show as Greg Rakestraw and Kevin Bowen fill in for DD.  Jackson-Davis will soon be going down to Bloomington to become practicing and preparing for his freshman season at Indiana University.

What parts of your game do you want to improve before starting college basketball?

“Definitely just my jump shot,  just keep working on that.  I’ve been in the gym working on that a lot over this offseason.  So that and probably just my conditioning, you just want to be in that tip-top shape going into college because the game’s longer.  You want to have your motor going as long possible because without that, you can’t really do much.”

What do you want your role to be on Indiana as a freshman?

“My goal and my role, I don’t really care how many points I score I just want to win basketball games.  I want to be an energy guy and bring leadership.  I know freshman don’t usually do that but I like talking, on my high school team I was a big talker ever since my freshman year so not like being the leader on the team but just being on the energy guy and bringing that type of energy.”

Trayce Jackson-Davis is heading down to New Castle High School tonight for the junior all-star game.
