Former NFL QB Boomer Esiason On Colts, Philip Rivers

The Indianapolis Colts are turning to 44-year-old Philip Rivers in a desperate attempt to save their season.
Once 7-1 with a chance at the top seed in the AFC, they now sit at 8-5 and will be without the services of Daniel Jones for the rest of the season following his Achilles injury. Rather than rely on rookie Riley Leonard, the team decided to ring up Rivers and see if he had any interest in returning. Turns out, he did. Now, we wait to see if he will get the starting nod on Sunday when the team travels to Seattle.
During the Wednesday edition of The Ride With JMV, John spoke to former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason on the decision to bring Rivers out of retirement, and what the Colts can expect from a guy who hasn’t played a down since January of 2021. Listen to that conversation below, and tune into The Ride With JMV weekdays from 3-6pm on 93.5/107.5 The Fan!
