BC39 Race returning to IMS

[Speedway, IN]- This weekend, a race that means more than just a win returns to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The BC39 USAC Sprint Car Stoops Invitational race returns to IMS this year. A familiar face to the USAC and the race, Justin Grant, stopped by Query and Company Tuesday. Grant won the race last year.
“It was really, really special,” Grant said, “I grew up racing with Brian (Clauson) and the stature he created for himself and left behind was humongous.”
The race was named after former USAC, NASCAR, and IndyCar driver Brian Clauson, who died during the Belleville Midgets race in 2016. He was 27 years old.
Clauson was a registered organ donor, with his decision being attributed to saving five lives.

This year marks the sixth time the race has been held.
USAC will be bringing Sprint Cars to the track this weekend.
“It’ll be very interesting,” Grant said, “The track is certainly small for Sprint Cars, but we’ve been running a few tracks that have been smaller and smaller.”
Grant, along with other USAC drivers will take the course. The event starts on Thursday and runs through Saturday.
