Stephen Holder from The Athletic joins The Fan Morning Show. Stephen talks with the fellas about head Coaches in the NFL giving their teams off days already. Stephen, Jeff and Big Joe debate about whether NFL teams should be getting off days during mini camp.
On having a day off during mini camp:
“I think sometimes what you see in instances like that is, hard coach’s way of appealing to players and throwing them a bone. I think that all coaches do it in some form or fashion. All teams do stuff like that, little team building exercises. It’s not entirely new even the toughest coaches realize at some point that you have bend a little bit.”
On tweaking the offensive for the Colts:
“I think that you’re going to see a lot of next steps in this offensive. Frank Reich was very clear, that there was a lot of things they did last year that they did scheme wise, but there was also things that they didn’t get to last year. One of those for example is in the RPO (Run Pass Option).”
