Show regular Kevin Bowen gives his take on how the Pacers are looking and what they need to do for their season to be as successful as possible. Kevin Bowen also talks about the East and the West in the NBA and speaks on some of the movement occurring in the off season. KB ends the discussion talking about the Colts and how them being quiet over the last month is a good thing.

“I haven’t heard one person mention Goga as part of the great off season. I think he’s just an unknown in terms of this great off season.”

“I think when you talk to people around the draft, a lot of people felt like he could’ve been a top ten pick. I think for the most part where you got him at eighteen that was decent value. I would say if you’re going to ask me to grade the Pacers’ off season I would give them a high B grade. I still think trading one of your big guys would allow you to push that ceiling even higher. Like you said Jeff you are restricted in this market from who you are going to be able to attract in free agency. That’s just life in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers. I think that the uncertainty of Oladipo’s injury also plays into just how willing some of those elite players are to even entertaining the thought of coming to Indiana. Malcolm Brogdon was one of those rare guys and I think that is why you were able to get him.”

“I don’t understand why the President of an NFL team doesn’t have a list of five guys he wants for the GM position and if he doesn’t get his top guy than go down the list. Isn’t that how business works Kevin?”

“Bill O’Brian and the McNair family are just locked at the hip. Brian Gaine was hired at a year and a half and all of the sudden he is fired and I don’t think that there are any glaring mistakes that he made. I don’t understand why you don’t just keep Brian Gaine knowing full well in the next seven or eight months we have to create that list if there is not a list there to make sure that we go out and find the right guy.”
