The biggest surprises of the day? The Colts kept QB Sam Ehlinger, cut veteran RB Phillip Lindsay, cut veteran swing tackle Dennis Kelly, and kept both Mike Strachan and Dezmon Patmon at WR.
The most important news for the Colts and fans though? Star LB Shaquille Leonard has been taken off the PUP list and placed on the active roster. Head Coach Frank Reich told the media last week why getting him off of PUP was important, even if he isn’t available to play in Week 1 vs Houston.
Frank Reich was asked today about the possibility of LB Shaq Leonard starting the season on PUP (which means he’d miss a minimum of four games). Sounds like Colts are leaning against it, b/c they want him to get as much practice time as he can. pic.twitter.com/13ZnWaFski

107.5 The Fan afternoon Host JMV was joined by Colts IndyStar Insider Joel Erickson for a full breakdown of the roster including what surprised them the most, a timeline for Leonard’s return, and how they expect to see the roster change as other players around the league are cut.
