From Harding-Steinbrenner Racing, rookie and 19 year old Colton Herta joined Big Joe and Tony D. to look back at his qualifying effort on Sunday in which he qualified in the middle of row #2. He answers the age long question of following in his fathers footsteps into racing, how he is preparing for the longest race of his life, and how staying patient when other drivers get aggressive will be a key to winning the Indy 500.

On qualifications last week :

” It was a long weekend after Saturday fifth was probably the max we were gonna get out of that day. So I actually didn’t mind but if it was gonna rain Sunday kind of thought that was the highest wer were gonna get. That’s kind of where the car was at and then we did it again on Sunday. We’ll start from fifth but you can win from anywhere here though.”

On his dad being a two time champion and how that benefits him :

“There’s a lot of diffrent things from starts to pit stops to how to overtake and keep the momentum up.But a lot of little things that he knows throughtout the years of racing here. He can dwell on me and then help me out”
