Jeff Rabjohns covers Indiana & recruiting for Peegs.com and joined JMV to talk all things Hoosiers sports. Jeff Mercer’s presence with the baseball team has been impressive, while Archie Miller is still struggling to find his footing as head coach of the basketball team. With Trayce Jackson-Davis and Joey Brunk joining the lineup, things might be looking up for Miller and Co.

On the roster outlook for next season:

“Sometimes, people get antsy, if you will. They want what they want and they want it right now. When thety don’t see a clear path to that, it ramps up the anxienty level. I know some people had some concern when he [Archie Miller&#93 said that they were staying with 11 scholarship players and I understand that in theory. But when you look at some things in the past — Villanova won a national title during a time when Jay Wright wasn’t filling all 13 scholarships. In fact, Jay Wright is an advocate of 11.”

On issues in the lockeroom:

“I was told that that stuff on Facebook was made up. Juwan Morgan even debunked things directly. i don’t think there were issues near that got made up on Facebook. Really, when there are real issues you have some clear information. For example, Romeo Langford and Rob Phinisee were roomates. Romeo Langford stayed at IU until the end of school. A lot of guys who are going into the draft leave and take online classes wherever they’re at doing draft prep. If there were problems, Romeo isn’t hanging around a month after the season ends.”
