Bobby Marks, NBA Front Office Insider for ESPN, joins JMV to discuss the difficulty of the Pacers offseason and potential draft picks, free agents, Victor Oladipo, NBA news, NBA Finals game five, and his take on ‘load management.’

On names he thinks the Pacers may be interested in:

“I think a guy, a name to keep an eye on, is a guy like Khris Middleton. He was in Milwaukee this past year. It’s a matter of cost. It’s probably going to cost you 25-30 million dollars a year to get a player like Middleton to Indiana. I think he would be a great secondary scorer coming off an all-star year. Probably not a number one guy, I think that’s kind of the guy that if someone asked me about, who would fill that void, it would be a guy like Middleton.”

His take on load management:

“I think Kawhi is a little different based on him coming off that season ending injury in San Antonio and them having to manage what his minutes were going to be and as far as his work load. So, does every team take that appraoch? I think every team is a little different, maybe teams are a bit more cautious. But, yeah, I think if you are a team that is going to sign Kawhi Leonard, you are going to have a Kawhi Leonard that plays 60-65 games. That is kind of where we are trending right now. Teams are a little bit more cautious when it comes to their players with the big picture ahead in regards to playoffs.”
