Darius Leonard, linebacker for the Colts, joins The Dan Dakich Show to talk about the Colts upcoming season and training camp. Dan asked Leonard if he feels he got snubbed from the NFL all-star game last year and whether or not that has an effect on him. Dan asked Leonard about training camp and what has been different for Darius Leonard in the off season in general.

“You’ve been very vocal, not whining, but just using the all-star snub as motivation correct?”

“Oh yeah without a doubt definitely not whining. Definitely don’t really care. I just use it straight for motivation. Just adding fuel to the fire. Just let them know that I see the disrespect and I’m going to keep using that to show that I am the best on the field. I’m going to keep playing and practicing to show that.”

“Isn’t that amazing that athletes and coaches all look at bad plays?”

“Oh yeah that is awesome. I mean it humbles you. When I look at film I don’t think I’m the best thing on the field. I don’t think that I am the best linebacker. There are a lot of things that I can improve on. To be the best you have to sit down and look at yourself with a critical eye. So that is what I do. I just try to critique everything that I do and try not to make the same mistakes.”
