Andre Owens of the BIG3 joins The Ride with JMV to discuss three on three basketball. Andre Owens discusses whether or not he feels three on three basketball is harder than five on five. Andre also talks about the ins and outs of three on three basketball and the strategy that is involved in three on three.

“What’s the difference between the BIG3 and conventional five on five?”

“I thought it was a bunch of old NBA players getting together and just entertaining the fans. You know Jermaine O’neal reached out to me first like Andre this some good that Ice Cube is doing. Everything he touches always turns to gold. I said I don’t know man, I really don’t know. Then Bonzi Wells reached out and said everybody’s doing it you need to do it. So the first game that was in Brooklyn two years ago and we sold out of the Barkley Center and everyone was there.”

“Everybody plays three on three man. It’s something connectable to everyone that has ever played basketball.”

“Exactly. Plus they just put it into the Olympics for the 2020 Olympics. That’s where everybody started at playing three on three, you know that’s how you start out playing basketball. Three on three in the back yard, at the parks, everywhere. To have this opportunity to watch professional athletes play three on three is different.”
