INDIANAPOLIS – What the Colts 2025 schedule lacks in home game appeal, it makes up for in some interesting twists.
Here are 5 takeaways on the Colts 2025 schedule:
1. Frequent Flier Miles

In an unusual scheduling twist, the Colts will have 3 separate trips to the west coast in 2025.
The Colts were hoping the NFL would grant them 2 of these west coast games in back-to-back weeks (where the Colts would have stayed out west, to lessen the travel), but that didn’t occur.
So they will go to LA in Week 4, back to LA in Week 7 and then to Seattle in Week 15. And you also have the trip to Berlin in Week 10.
The Colts will travel the 7th most miles of any NFL team in 2025.
2. Berlin Trip Brings “Normal” Bye

The Colts will play the Falcons in Berlin on Sunday, November 9th (9:30 AM eastern).
It’s a Week 10 matchup for the Colts and Falcons, with a bye week to follow.
That means the Colts will have a mid-November bye week, in Week 11, which is earlier than the Week 14 bye they’ve had in 3 of the last 4 years.
Atlanta head coach Raheem Morris was a strong head coaching candidate for the Colts back in 2023, so you have that storyline there with Michael Pennix Jr. the expected QB choice for the Falcons.
3. Week 1 Drought

The Colts will try to end their Week 1 winless drought, which dates back to 2013, in hosting the Dolphins.
While these two teams played at Lucas Oil Stadium last year, the Dolphins didn’t have normal starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Assuming Tagovailoa has a healthy offseason, he might just be the best quarterback the Colts will see at home all year.
The Colts and the Dolphins are two teams with GMs and HCs having little on their resumes so far. That should bring some heightened attention for each going into Week 1.
For those wondering about that other drought (having not won in Jacksonville since 2014), the Colts will head to Jacksonville in Week 14.
4. Wait On The Texans

If you want to see the defending AFC South champs in 2025, you better be patient.
After playing the Texans twice before Halloween last year, the Colts won’t play Houston until post Thanksgiving this season.
That means a Week 13 hosting of the Texans and then a trip to Houston to close the season in Week 18.
What a difference between that for the Colts seeing the heavy AFC South favorite.
5. Chiefs After Bye Week

Another benefit from the Colts having an earlier bye this year, is this year’s off week will lead right into a trip to take on the Chiefs.
The Colts will return from their bye week to play the Chiefs in Week 12.
Having arguably the top opponent on the schedule in the week after the bye is certainly a favorable situation on paper.
And for those curious about any night games for the Colts, they will host the 49ers on Monday Night Football on December 23rd.
