Indianapolis – For the 1st time in 3 years the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was allowed to run at full capacity for the Indianapolis 500. With an estimated 300,000+ attending the greatest spectacle in racing last Sunday, one thing that is inevitable no matter how much pre-planning is done is that the post race exit inevitably leads to some heavy traffic.
IMS President Doug Boles joined 107.5 The Fan afternoon host JMV on his show Tuesday to give a recap of the weekend from his point of view. JMV asked Doug about:
- 2 things IMS wants to improve on for future years
- how close they were to a sell out
- the 2nd flyover pre-race
- how Miles Teller was chosen to wave the green flag
- the impact of Marcus Ericsson winning the race
