Of course the Indianapolis Colts are the main game in town, but every now and again it’s nice to take a peek up North and see what the Chicago Bears are up to.

Whether that’s to see how the Colts are doing by comparison or just to get a laugh at our neighbor’s expense can vary.

In this context, The Dan Dakich Show wanted to know what Chicago has done to genuinely make their team better this fall.

They believe they have the answer at quarterback in Justin Fields, but they don’t have anybody for him to throw to and their offensive line needs work.

Not exactly a winning start for former Colts defensive coordinator and first year Bears head coach Matt Eberflus.

So what have they done to get better? What holes do they still have to fill this offseason? What are they targeting in next week’s NFL Draft? Will they be any better next season?

For the answers to those questions on the Bears we turned to our friend David Kaplan of ESPN 1000 and NBC Sports Chicago.

Brutally honest as ever, Kap set us straight on the Bears and gave his thoughts on the Chicago Cubs outlook this season.

Plus, Kaplan took us through the Bulls chances after dropping Game 1 to the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks.

Give Dan’s chat with David Kaplan a listen below and don’t miss The Dan Dakich Show, every weekday 12-3pm Eastern, on 93.5 & 107.5 The Fan.
