Scottie Scheffler headed into The Masters as the #1-rated golfer in the world but now the world knows him as Masters champion.  Scheffler flew under the radar heading into the tournament but his play over the weekend at Augusta showed why he is the hottest golfer in the world.  Scheffler had 4 birdies over his final 18 holes and only had two holes where he did worse than par (a bogey on 10 and a double bogey on 18 when he three putted with the green jacket locked down).  There was drama to start the final round as Cameron Smith was nipping at Scheffler’s heels but a disastrous triple bogey on 12 knocked him out of contention while Rory McIlroy shot a sensational 64 to launch into 2nd place.  Tiger Woods returned and defied the odds by making the cut over other big names like Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Jordan Spieth.  Woods definitely seemed to feel the pain of his lingering injuries on Saturday and Sunday but there was no doubt that Woods was happy just to be there as he smiled while approaching the 18th green to roaring fanfare.

On Monday’s edition of Kevin & Query, the guys talked with PGA Tour Radio’s Will Haskett to get his thoughts on Scottie Scheffler’s unbelievable start to the season, Tiger’s weekend and when we’ll see him again and what’s next for the PGA Tour before the next major, the PGA Championship, in May.

It’s not just world number 1-type stuff, it’s full flex for Scottie Scheffler right now. – Will Haskett on Scottie Scheffler’s Master performance
