The Indiana Hoosiers haven’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2016. They’d like to change that but they’re also doing themselves no favors. Despite a 16-8 record they are currently 7-7 in conference play and on a three-game losing streak with losses to top-25 teams like Illinois and Michigan State and an ugly loss to lowly Northwestern that was in the wake of five players being suspended ahead of tip-off. Mike Woodson’s crew needs wins and needs them now but they are staring at a truly tough road over the final six games with tournament hopes in the balance.
It starts tonight when they host the No.15 ranked Wisconsin Badgers and doesn’t get any easier when they have No. 18 Ohio State right behind them. So the Hoosiers are going to have to step up their level of play against some top tier opponents if they hope to snap their tournament drought. On Tuesday’s edition of Kevin & Query, the guys were joined by Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com to debate how much pressure IU has on them during this final stretch of games and how many more slip ups they can afford before they’re on the outside looking in on the tournament once again.
This is one you have to get to avoid needing to really pull of upsets or make a surprising run in the conference tournament.” – Jeff Rabjohns on IU needing a win against Wisconsin Tuesday night
