The Indiana Pacers surprised the entire NBA community today with the acquisition of second year guard Tyrese Haliburton from the Sacramento Kings.

Indiana also threw in a 2023 second round pick to Sacramento along with Sabonis, Lamb, and Justin Holiday. With Sacramento struggling for a while, many Indiana natives aren’t familiar with the Iowa State graduate. Haliburton is a long and athletic 6’5” guard that is only 21 years old. National NBA reporter Evan Sidery of joined the Ride With JMV on Tuesday to break down his game.

“I thought Haliburton was one of the best players of his draft class. He’s very versatile, a very good defender, three-point shooter, and ready made point guard for Rick Carlisle’s system. He’s got a very high IQ, able to read both sides of the court really well, and is still on his rookie contract. I think is a homerun hit for Indiana.” Says Sidery.

It would not surprise anyone if Pacer fans had to double check, triple check, or even quadruple check their phones to make sure that Woj bomb was not a fake Woj account. He was on NBA Today while JMV was on-air and broke down the trade.

The shooting numbers for Haliburton have stayed the course with the increase in opportunity, but he has improved throughout the course of the season.
