Jim Irsay is sending his Twitter followers to the Super Bowl in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately for the Indianapolis Colts owner, those tickets are for a game that his team won’t be playing in; Not even close.

It has been well documented on what is wrong with the state of the Colts right now. There’s plenty to clean up heading into free agency, the draft, and ultimately on the field in training camp this coming August. But before that, the head honchos at the Colts need to watch the Super Bowl with a keen eye.

First of all, as I previously wrote, I hope they watch Matthew Stafford and realize what they could’ve had. But even more so, look at the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow has been an absolute stud.

But he wouldn’t be at this point of course without the coaching that he has received from Zac Taylor and his Pro Bowl level caliber wide receivers.

Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd. An elite group. You know what the Bengals sacrificed in order to built that receiver group? Building their defensive and offensive lines through the draft.

In a complete 180 flip from what Chris Ballard and the Colts have done, the Bengals have invested their big chips on game wreckers; And it has paid off.

Sure, the Colts selected Michael Pittman Jr. But imagine if the Blue and White had a down-field threat like Chase to pair with JT? T.Y. Hilton at one point was that player. But come on, any hope for Hilton to find the fountain of youth is gone.

Ballard’s obsession with growing the Colts in the trenches is eating away at possibility of selecting talent that will take the team where they want to be.

With guys like David Bell, John Metchie, and Treylon Burks available this go-around, Indy has yet another opportunity to bring in a game wrecker. One problem, no first round pick. So yes, give the Super Bowl a good watch Irsay and company. There’s going to be a whole lot of excitement.

Can you bring that same energy to Lucas Oil Stadium?
