The Peyton and Eli Manning simulcast for Monday Night Football on ESPN has been a raging success so far.

Unfortunately, Colts fans won’t be able to hear Peyton’s analysis in Week 5 for the Colts only Monday Night Football appearance vs the Ravens as the broadcast is on hiatus until Week 7 of the season. JMV discussed the lack of the “ManningCast” on his show Wednesday and pleaded with Omaha Productions to reconsider the hiatus:

“There has been so few things of enjoyment this year, rethink that. Can Omaha Productions please rethink that and have them fire away on that Monday nighter for the Colts and the Ravens? Please do. That would be incredibly enjoyable.”

While the broadcast would be immensely entertaining for Colts fans, JMV thinks that it may be detrimental to the fan perception of Frank Reich and 2021 Colts:

“This is probably good for the Colts. It would push Colts fans even further away from what is going on and being done here. Manning’s facial expressions for when the team is not in the play of his choice would push people around here to dislike this organization even more than they are right now.”

Colts fans will have to wait for any behind the scenes content until HBO’s Hard Knocks debuts in the middle of November as it details the start of the 2021 Season.
