News broke Tuesday that Colts running back Marlon Mack and the team mutually agreed to seek a trade for the 5th year veteran.
The #Colts and RB Marlon Mack have agreed to mutually seek a trade, per sources. Mack is fully healthy after last year’s Achilles tear. But Jonathan Taylor as the bell cow and Nyheim Hines recently extended, Mack is hoping for opportunities elsewhere.

Tuesday on The Dan Dakich Show, Dan explained to listeners why he felt the news shouldn’t be too surprising.
“That’s no real surprise, Mack appears to be the odd man out,” Dakich said. “Taylor and Hines have done well and with Mack being a healthy scratch, the writing has been on the wall.”
Since Mack missed nearly all of last year with an Achilles tear, the starting tailback role has been dominated by 2nd year standout Jonathan Taylor.
While Marlon looked promising in parts of the preseason, he’s seen only five carries through 3 games. On top of that, Mack was a healthy scratch in Sunday’s 25-16 loss to the Titans.
One reason Colts’ RB Marlon Mack didn’t play Sunday is because, per league sources, the team is considering trading him. Mack’s on a one-year deal, he’s healthy and still can be productive.

Even though the two sides agreed to seek a trade, for now the 25 year old tailback remains a member of the Colts. Though with plenty of teams in need of help at running back, that may not be the case very long.
