With Carson Wentz now back at practice for the Colts, the organization understands that Week 1 is quickly approaching and the question remains if Wentz will be ready to go.

Is less than 3 weeks enough time for the former second overall draft selection to get ready? The Dan Dakich Show thinks so.

“Three weeks is enough time,” Dan said to listeners on Monday’s show. “If he can’t gather it up and get going in three weeks then he’s not very good.”

So far Wentz has been seen participating in 7 on 7 in practice much to the delight of the team.

But as Dan stressed to listeners, nothing matters with Wentz until we see him in regular season action.

“I don’t care how he looked in 7 on 7,” Dan said. “The only thing I care about is how he plays in the regular season. The dude has played long enough that you kinda have to discard what you see in exhibitions.”

We’ll hopefully get that first true measuring stick for the Carson Wentz Era in 19 days, when the Colts host Seattle to open the season.
