There aren’t very many good sequels.
That’s both in Hollywood and sports. But the one we’re about to see at Bankers Life Fieldhouse just may be a hit.
Rick Carlisle has always seemed to call the 317 home, but now it truly is again.
Jake Query would go see this sequel in theaters. From the ISC Sports Network and NTT IndyCar Series Radio Network, Jake jumped on The Ride with JMV Thursday and shared why he thinks this is going to work.
And the big reasons go beyond basketball.
“I remember when Rick Carlisle came into a press conference after a game and he said before we talk about the game his daughter took her first steps on that day,” Query said. “His wife worked at Riley Children’s Hospital and was a part of the community.”
If there’s anybody that is going to turn this ship around, it is somebody that will love being here.
Not someone who is counting the minutes and hours until their contract is up. Carlisle is the guy.
“From a professional standpoint this is where he got his footing underneath him,” Query added. “When he won an NBA title in Dallas, he sent a championship ring to the Pacers as a sincere thank you. He has always felt like Indiana is home.”
