This week’s BSN Sports and 107.5 The Fan High School Team of the Week is unsurprisingly Carmel Girls Swimming.
They extended the nation’s longest all-time State Championship winning streak to 35 years. 35 years!
To put that in perspective, Top Gun and Ferris Bueller’s Day off were in theaters when this streak started. They not only won, they did so with the most points ever scored in the Indiana state meet and with the largest margin of victory ever.
With the win, Coach Chris Plumb also set an Indiana state coaching record for the most state championships with 24. Congratulations to Carmel Girls swimming.
