INDIANAPOLIS – How did Andrew Luck respond to his most extensive workload of camp?
He did so with another very efficient practice session, showing more of the zip and stretching the field ability that we saw on Tuesday.
Luck was 16-of-19 on Wednesday morning, going 9-of-11 in 11-on-11 work. Two of Luck’s incompletions were because of drops.
T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle accounted for 8 of Luck’s 16 completions on Wednesday.
The 19 throws came after Luck tossed it 33 times on Tuesday morning, which was easily the most he had thrown in 5 practices so far at Grand Park.
With the Colts using Wednesday as a big run emphasis day, it made sense that Luck didn’t throw it anywhere near as much as he did on Tuesday.
Still, even in the dialed back reps, Luck showed off the ramped up velocity and distance on throws that we saw the previous day.
The Colts will have Luck now take his rest day from throwing on Thursday, before getting back into team activities for Friday’s night practice in full pads.
