INDIANAPOLIS – Andrew Luck reached into his bag of tricks on Sunday to show off some vintage highlights.

During an end-of-game situation in the final drill of practice, Luck escaped pressure, sprinted left, and then threw across his body for a 40-yard toss to a waiting T.Y. Hilton.

“That’s a tough throw to make,” Frank Reich marveled at after Sunday’s full-padded practice for the Colts.

“That’s definitely checking something off.”

Sunday’s practice for Luck, his 7th of camp, was more about making plays that weren’t scripted, and showing off more of his arm.

The throw across his body to Hilton did that.

So did a 30-yard fling off his back foot during the individual period of Sunday’s practice.

Any lingering questions about Luck’s arm strength have largely been silenced based off his recent practices.

In total, Luck was 17-of-24 on Sunday, with a 10-of-16 performance in 11-on-11 sessions. Luck was picked off the 4th time this camp on an underthrown ball down the middle. Rookie linebacker Skai Moore made the pick.

The Colts really drilled two-minute and end of game situations on Sunday.

Like we’ve seen a good amount this camp, Luck has been a frequent thrower to his tight ends and running backs. On Sunday, the tight ends caught 10 of Luck’s 17 completions, with the running backs accounting for 3 grabs.

The Colts are planning to have Luck throw in each of the remaining practices at Grand Park. With off days fitting perfectly into the schedule, it works for Luck to handle that workload.

He will throw Monday and Tuesday morning, before the Colts head to Seattle for Thursday’s preseason opener.

After a Saturday ‘corrections’ practice later this week, Luck will throw next Sunday-Tuesday (Aug. 12-14). The Colts will have next Wednesday off, before Luck throws on the final 3 days of practice (Aug. 16-18, with the Ravens in town for joint practices on the 17th and 18th).

Here is a look at Luck’s numbers in his 7 practices at Grand Park:
