The Prodigal Son is in Indy. No, not LeBron James. I’m talking about Lance Stephenson.
One of Naptown’s favorite sons will be back tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse playing with his new team, but that’s not going to stop him from embracing his pro basketball roots here in Indianapolis.
“It’s going to be an incredible game tonight,” Stephenson said. “I love coming here, especially coming here and sleeping in my own bed.
“It’s a blessing,” he said. “It’s like family here.”
Not only will his Homecoming provide a fun night full of energy at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, but the after party could potentially be even better.
“And I’m definitely going to go to Hooters after the game tonight. Definitely looking forward to that. Everyone meet me at Hooters after the game”
I’m there.
This might be the most business Hooters has gotten since the Final Four in 2015 or even the Super Bowl in 2012. You know Lance meant it. He’s all about the love Indy has shown him. This is the same guy who used to run from his hotel to Bankers Life and back for practices and games when he was first re-signed back in 2017.
Now the only question is, is he buying?
