New Indianapolis Colts linebacker, Ben Banogu joins the guys to talk about his transition to the NFL and why he is excited to be in Indianapolis. Banogu discusses his comparison to former TCU star and Colts first-round draft pick, Jerry Hughes. Ben also tells the guys what he plans to spend his signing bonus on.

First he talked about the similarities and differences between him and co-TCU alumn Jerry Hughes, who was also drafted by the Colts back in 2010.

“I would say that were the same in some ways, we both came from TCU, we kind of have that same intensity about us, but in terms of what we bring to the table we’re different in the sense that they have me doing a lot more off ball stuff as well as pass rushing. I’m not sure what Jerry’s role was when he was with the Colts, but I don’t think it’s playing all over the front seven.”

Then Big Joe asked about his incredibly impressive Combine workout, and what the Colts saw in him from that to take him in the second round.

“For me, the best thing I can do is go out there and show why the coaches invested in me, and why they think I can do all those things and just go out there and execute to help them win, get to the playoffs, and win the Super Bowl.”

Jeff wanted to confirm with Ben about how to pronounce his last name, so for all you Colts fans out there its pronounced: Ben BAN-uh-GEW.

As for what he plans to do with his signing bonus after signing his first contract with the Colts, Banogu said, “The first thing I want to do is put it in the bank and save it. I’d probably want to treat my mom to something nice because she’s done so much for me and my family…I don’t know what it is yet, I’ll probably do some brainstorming on it, but it’ll be something real nice.”
