Larra Overton, joins The Fan Morning Show. Larra talks to the fellas about Tyquan Lewis and how he partnered with the Alzheimer’s association give back to his community by going to read books to people who have Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

On tyquan Lewis’s mission:

“His great grandmother was diagnosed with Dementia Alzheimer’s and his mom was a social worker when he was growing up. So his mom worked in assisted care facilities, and worked with elderly people who suffered from the disease. In high school and college he would routinely volunteer at places and would bring teammates to spend time with these people.”

On reading books to patients:

“Yesterday he took sometime afternoon to read some books to patients who suffer from Dementia and Alzheimer’s. One of the books he read was a Tony Dungy book which was very fitting of course. He took questions and was just so genuine and signing autographs.”
