Kevin Bowen joins the show to talk with Jeff and Big Joe about what big moves could be made from the Indiana Pacers organization.  Many players on the roster are free agents this year could be leaving and how could draft night play into it.  Bowen also talks a little Indianapolis Colts football as they get deeper in to training camp.

What is the best case scenario for the Pacers tonight?

“Honestly, I think it is a trade.  I just don’t know if the 18th pick offers you a whole lot of immediate options, especially when you are dealing with this cloud of when Victor Oladipo is going to get back to full health and when that is going to happen.  I think trading the pick is honestly the route that I would go down.  Obviously, that is very dependent on what the board looks like at 18 overall.  We’ve seen in past years that it is very difficult to hit on a pick in that range.  If you do end up making a selection there I would say you have got to go with shooting.  A 2 or 3 guard range.  I know the team wants to improve their pace and find a new creator on the ball.  I just don’t think there are a lot of point guards you can get in that range especially after drafting Aaron Holiday last year.  I think a trade is the route I would go.”

What do you foresee this team looking like with so many free agents?

“I think that’s the greatest unknown and just what the NBA offseason offers.  You have the draft here, a week after the NBA Finals ends and then boom.  10 days after tonight, free agency starts.  If I’m looking at the current free agents, I think there is a chance Bojan comes back.  I am a little bit worried about what his market will look like in terms of how willing the Pacers will be to match other offers coming from around the league.  The 43 million that Indiana has this free agency can be gobbled up pretty quick if they try going after a D’Angelo Russell or Kemba Walker.”
