As the NBA Draft is approaching tonight, former NBA agent Matt Babcock talks to Jeff & Big Joe about what potential deals he believes he can see tonight. He talks about where he expects to see sought after talent to wind up and also talks which player could be headed to Indiana.
How difficult is it to make a draft day deal?
“You know it’s definitely hard. I think there is a lot of chatter that goes on behind the scenes that never goes into effect. There’s just a million moving parts whether it’s agents or teams. A lot going on for sure.”
Is there a likely trade tonight for the number 4 pick tonight that the Pelicans now have?
“Yah I think that’s in play. There’s a number of teams that have multiple picks. History will also tell use that the team that have the multiple picks are usually the most active on the trade market. And then going back to the idea that there is a lot being discussed and some of it comes to life but I think there is a lot being discussed right now.”
