Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan joins The Fan Morning Show with Jeff and Big Joe to talk Pacers off season. Kevin Bowen talks to Jeff and Big Joe about what he feels the Pacers need to do in the off season to have a successful year. Kevin discusses the TJ Warren deal and whether or not he thinks that’s the right move for the Pacers. Kevin also talks about whether or not the big man strategy the Pacers seem to employ can be effective.

“There is a lot of work to be done and decisions to be made in the next ten days for the Pacers.”

“Right. The TJ Warren deal will become official in early July. Right now I guess a little bit north of thirty million. Which, I know to a lot of people seems like a lot of money but if you’re going to go out and try to spend a contract that could be a max value that’s going to eat up virtually all of that. I think Kevin Pritchard pretty much threw up the caution flag at that last week when he spoke in saying it’s probably not going to be so much high end. It’s going to be more of: there’s five or six free agents that won’t be back here. You’ve got to try and fill those spots and that’s probably two or three spots.”

“How surprised were you at the Goga draft pick and what does that mean to you?”

“I was surprised in the sense of they drafted a center. I think Goga as a player, and I preface this by saying yes I have watched more highlights and evena game of his, I actually think there is some potential for him to be a great NBA player. The question is: what are you doing with your roster construction when you already have two centers that clearly you like a lot? And Kevin Pritchard is steadfast that he thinks that Domantas Sabonis and Miles Turner can play together. That was the surprise of it.”
