Zak Keefer from The Athletic joins The Ride with JMV to discuss his expectations for Justin Houston with the Colts in 2019. Zak also talks to JMV about how he is excited to see where a lot of guys play because he feels that certain positions are up in the air. Zak ends the discussion by going into how he feels Nyheim Hines will still get a lot of balls and still be a central part of the offense.

“What do you think we see from Justin Houston in 2019?

“On my list of five or six guys I’m ready to watch every day in Westfield, he’s up there. I want to watch him and Anthony Castonzo. I want to watch him in pads because we saw a lot of action in shorts this year, you know in the spring and all that and it’s not really football, but that being said Justin Houston looks great. There’s a couple guys every year that just pop. Last year when we saw Quenton Nelson in person it was holy F this guy is enormous. It wasn’t the same reaction but he is startlingly huge. They need him to get to the quarterback and that’s period.”

“Give me any type of story line that isn’t quite the story line we saw with the quarterback position last year.”

“So this is a really good question because last year, and I was talking to Mike Chappell, Wells and Holder, and it’s like last year there were so many uncertainties. One being the shoulder of Andrew Luck. Two being Frank Reich. Three being, you know, is the line going to fix itself? What the heck is the defense going to look like? So many of those questions were answered last year. I’m going to look for some guys that I’m really intrigued by. Ben Banogu is one that just jumps out. What position is he going to play? What’s he going to look like? It’s one thing to be a stud in college and it’s another thing to be a stud against these guys.”
